As Congress is on its way to mark an emphatic victory in the Karnataka state assembly elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The trends earlier in the day went in favor of the Congress a little after the counting began at 8 in the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The party has already won 96 seats and currently leading in 40 seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Siddaramaiah termed it a victory of a secular party, he said that the Karnataka people wanted a stable government that fulfills the promises made which is why Congress was chosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Siddaramaiah tweeted that it is a victory of honesty over 40% commission, a victory of secularism over communal politics and Karnataka\u2019s pride over trouble engine(mocking PM Modi\u2019s double engine).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The former chief minister thanked the Karnataka people for their to the Congress and sent a message that the people\u2019s mandate is their voice against dishonest BJP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also thanked party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, former presidents Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, and also thanked Priyanka Gandhi for their support and belief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DK Shivakumar, the firebrand leader of the state Congress and the state president of the party went tear-eyed while addressing media personnel looking bat the results, he remembered Sonia Gandhi visiting him while he was in Jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shivakumar said he has not slept for single day since then and termed this victory to be Karnataka\u2019s victory. Shivakumar called this a huge mandate for the party leader and workers who have put their efforts ensuring today\u2019s victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kharge labeled the win as Janata Janardhan Victory and said that the people who were fed up with administration have voted the Congress to power and said the Karnataka voters have showed they are awakened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kharge on the next step of the party on forming the government said all the newly elected legislators have been called to Bengaluru and once they arrive, the future course of action would be decide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kharge added that the party high command will designate observers after which, the process of government formation will put into action .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rahul Gandhi referring to the mandate said the the strength of crony capitalism got defeated by the poor and also said that market of hatred have now shut and shops of love has opened with this victory in Karnataka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rahul claimed such results will be seen in all the states and thanked and congratulated the Karnataka people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Priyanka Gandhi extended her heartfelt thanks to the people of Karnataka for giving a historic mandate to the party and said it a victory of politics that unites the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
