A 15-year-old from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh was allegedly raped by her teacher after he took the minor to Roorkee in Uttarakhand, police said on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the police, the minor girl went for her tuitions on Thursday from where her teacher took her to Uttarakhand\u2019s Roorkee and allegedly raped her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A senior police officer said that the victim\u2019s parents filed a complaint against the accused, a tuition teacher, on Saturday based on which a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the POCSO Act was registered against him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Giving details, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain said the accused took the minor girl to Roorkee in Uttarakhand, raped her, and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, after returning home, the 15-year-old narrated the ordeal to her family who then approached the police, the officer said, adding that the accused teacher is currently absconding and searches have been launched to arrest him at the earliest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further investigation is underway, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a similar incident, last week, a computer teacher was arrested for allegedly molesting 12 girl students\u2014all minors\u2014at a government-run school in Uttar Pradesh\u2019s Shahjahanpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A senior police official said that the accused, identified as Mohammad Ali, who was posted as computer instructor at a junior government school in Tilhar area, was arrested for allegedly molesting at least 12 minor girl students, including some Dalit girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talking to news agency PTI Circle Officer (Tilhar) Priyank Jain said that the school\u2019s principal and an assistant teacher have also been charged in connection with the case and placed under suspension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The officer said that the principal allegedly turned a blind eye to the incident and did not take any action against the accused despite receiving complaints from the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Giving details, the officer while citing a complaint filed by village head Lalta Prasad, the accused allegedly molested a Dalit girl on Saturday, following which the girl along with his other victims narrated their ordeal to their families.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
