{"id":476298,"date":"2023-06-14T14:30:21","date_gmt":"2023-06-14T09:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/?p=476298"},"modified":"2023-06-14T14:35:15","modified_gmt":"2023-06-14T09:05:15","slug":"farmers-protest-delhi-rohtak-highway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/india-news\/farmers-protest-delhi-rohtak-highway\/","title":{"rendered":"Farmers, khaps call-off protest hours after blocking Delhi-Rohtak Highway demanding Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh\u2019s arrest, MSP legal guarantee among 23 others"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Wednesday, Farmers and some leaders of the khap called off a protest hours after the blockade of the Delhi-Rohtak national highway in Haryana\u2019s Jhajjar district demanding on 25 key issues, including the arrest of former Wrestling Federation chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The protest was organised by the Bharat Bhumi Bachao Sangharsh Samiti under the leadership of Ramesh Dalal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalal along with his entourage of farmer leaders, members of the outfit and Khap leaders of the adjoining districts had blocked the NH-9 in Jhajjar\u2019s Bahadurgarh region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The protest was later called-off stating the farmers were assured by the government that will hold talks in the upcoming three days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalal spekaing to the reporters said, the strike is being called as Jhajjar DC Shakti Singh assured them about holding talks within the next three days on the demands made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Haryana | We are ending our dharna as DC Jhajjar Shakti Singh has said that the government will hold talks with us in the next three days on our 25 demands.
