Communal tensions in several districts of Maharashtra are at a long time high. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has adopted an aggressive stance which is being criticised by the opposition. Some of the opposition members even asked Fadnavis to resign on his statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fadnavis pointing out the Ahmednagar procession on Sunday, where some individuals showed Mughal emperor Aurangzeb\u2019s poster. Fadnavis commented that they need to find out from where Aurangzeb\u2019s aulad (offspring) had mushroomed in such large numbers in Maharashtra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the opposition leaders had said there would be riots in the state and immediately after it a group of individuals who belonged to a particular community were flashing posters of Aurangzeb and Tipu Sultan in several states. Fadnavis questioned what was the reason behind sudden glorification of Aurangzeb and Tipu sultan?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talking about the Opposition remarks on riots and the flashing of posters of Aurangzeb and Tipu Sultan, he said these events were not mere coincidence and deep investigation has to be carried out to find out the motive of these events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main reason behind the communal clashes in Sangamner, Akola, Kolhapur, and Dhule is still unknown and the police is investigating the matter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vanchit Bahujan Aghadhi President Prakash Ambedkar accused the ruling coalition for working for their own vested interests. BJP chief Chandrashekakhar Bawankule accused the opposition of making provocative statements. He said the opposition parties are targeting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and deputy CM Fadnavis as they are providing growth and development in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
