A private school teacher from Jammu and Kashmir\u2019s Bandipora district has molested and sexually assaulted two girl students, officials affirmed on Thursday. Satar Beigh, a 42 year old teacher, was arrested on Wednesday. He is a resident of the Gurez area of north Kashmir\u2019s Bandipora district and is temporarily residing at Hyderpora. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concerned officials remarked that Satar Beigh, who teaches Arabic in Holy Faith school at Rawalpora was detained for allegedly molesting and sexually assaulting two students from Classes 4 and 5 in the school. According to reports, a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been lodged. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taking to Twitter, the Srinagar Police tweeted that one Arabic teacher in Holy Faith School, Rawalpora namely Satar Beigh , son of Nabar Beigh and resident of Gurez, Bandipora was arrested for molesting and sexually assaulting two minor girl students of class 4th and 5th in school. FIR has been registered under POSCO act in Sardar police station, the tweet added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier in May, two teachers were suspended from a government school in Jammu and Kashmir\u2019s Kishtwar district for allegedly molesting a girl student inside the school. The victim in her complaint accused two teachers of molesting her inside a school in a village in Kishtwar while she was appearing for her 11th class examination. This incident had sparked protest by the villagers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The accused teachers were booked under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. During this incident, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar Khalil Ahmad Poswal asserted that they had registered an FIR based on the complaints of two minors who accused two teachers of molestation in the jurisdiction of Chatroo police station. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
