A 35-year-old woman and her five children died after their hut caught fire on Wednesday night. The incident occured in Urdaha village, situated in Uttar Pradesh\u2019s Kushinagar district. Sangeeta and her five children got trapped inside their house when the fire broke out. They were sleeping. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police are yet to find out the reason behind the fire. A team of police official hurried to the spot after receiving information about the incident. A fire brigade team doused the flames along with the help of the locals. According to preliminary investigation, police suggest that Sangeeta along with her children went to sleep without properly dousing the fire in the \u2018chulha\u2019. The fire came in contact with an inflammable substance and eventually spread quickly while they were asleep. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Akhilesh Singh, station house officer, Ramkola police station asserted that the woman and her five children had gone to sleep after having their dinner while her husband, Navami was sleeping outside the house due to extreme weather conditions, when the fire broke out. The deceased were identified as Sangeeta, and her children Ankit (10), Laxmina (9), Rita (3), Geeta (2) and Babu (1) were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead. The police had sent their body for autopsy and an inquiry has been directed in this concerned matter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The locals informed the police when they saw huge flames and smoke billowing out. Reportedly, locals raised an alarm when they saw the blaze inside the house. They also attempted to rescue the family trapped inside by extinguishing the fire. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the kin of the deceased. Superintendent of police, Kushinagar, Dhawal Jaiswal asserted that the actual cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
