In the sanctum sanctorum (garba griha) of the Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand, a woman was spotted dishonourably throwing cash on Shivling. The incident was caught on camera and has since been posted online, drawing criticism from viewers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police have been requested by temple officials to take the required and prompt action in this case. The woman’s identity is still unknown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video was shot not only right next to the Kedarnath Temple’s Shivling, where it is reported that photography and videography are strictly banned, but it also showed the woman performing improperly inside the holy grounds as she disgracefully showered cash like she would at a dance club or wedding reception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Temple President Ajendra Ajay acknowledged the viral video in a press release that was officially released by the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee and urged the authorities to take serious steps. According to reports, Ajay had a conversation with the Superintendent of Police and District Magistrate of Rudraprayag to request that the appropriate miscreants be dealt with right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the members of the famous Uttarakhand shrine’s sanctum sanctorum, which is gold-plated, reacted furiously to assertions made on social media that it is actually brass. It was referred to as a conspiracy by officials of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC). The uproar started when certain social media videos purported to show gold polish being put into the temple’s inner sanctuary. Users connected to the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have shared the videos. The video was shared by those who are associated with Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
