since the teaser was released. From the actors’ appearances to the dialogue and VFX, the movie has drawn criticism from all sides. Arun Govil, who played Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s iconic Ramayan, came out strongly about Adipurush amidst all the commotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adipurush, starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon hit the theatres on June 16 amid high aspirations and fell short of audience expectations. Arun Govil, who became best known for portraying Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, expressed his dissatisfaction in an interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Govil said, I haven’t seen the movie, but from what I’ve heard, it has a few pretty controversial lines and isn’t up to par. We revere Lord Hanuman, he is our deity, and it is improper for a god to speak in this manner. It shouldn’t have been there, in my opinion, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the interview, he said that he read Manoj Muntashir’s tweet, in which he claimed that they were taking the dialogues back and changing it. He said, it’s wonderful of them to have considered returning it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whatever harm is done, it’s done, he continued. Thus, it won’t happen like if they cut the conversation or change the dialogue, and then people will go again to the cinema halls to the movies. To avoid this, it wasn’t supposed to be there. Govil further added, we worship Lord Ram, Hanuman, and Sita, and anything that deviates from their standards is not acceptable. Every conversation or dialogue we had during Ramanand Sagar\u2019s Ramayan was very good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Govil said, as Prabhas was chosen as Lord Ram, his image is not of a lord. He has created a very stellar impression of himself. Either the people who created his looks ought to have put more effort into the way he looked or something they should have done to his appearance. He said, I don’t want to imply that the other actors or he haven’t performed very well. But he questioned their appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The filmmakers and creatives should have put in a lot more effort, which I believe is missing from this film, he added. We notice things based on their appearance.
