WhatsApp has launched a new feature that allows users to automatically mute calls from unknown callers. This feature comes at a time when there is an increase in spam calls on the platform. As per the Meta Channel on Instagram, this new feature will make WhatsApp even more private and give users more control. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to reports, this feature has been in beta testing for a while. At present, the stable version is now available for Android and iOS smartphone users. When the feature is enabled through the privacy setting menu, WhatsApp will automatically silence calls from the unknown numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To silence calls from an unknown number on WhatsApp, one must ensure that they have installed the latest version of WhatsApp on their phone or they have updated the messaging app through Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. As per reports, users were able to use this feature on phones such as Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Realme 11 Pro+ once they installed or updated the stable version of WhatsApp. To enable this feature on WhatsApp, one must open the app, then click on the kebab menu in the top right corner, then go to settings, click on Privacy, then select calls and enable \u2018Silent Unknown Callers\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As far as reports are concerned, Meta has been adding new features to WhatsApp almost every week. Recently, the company also launched WhatsApp channels in select markets. Furthermore, WhatsApp also obtained the ability to edit sent messages for up to 15 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
