India\u2019s 2011 World Cup winning team had dedicated the title win at home to Sachin Tendulkar. Virender Sehwag said similarly the Indian team will look to win the World Cup 2023 for Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli was also a part of the world cup winning team in 2011 and had lifted Sachin Tendulkar over his shoulders as Team India embarked on a victory lap in the Wankhade Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sehwag said Kohli always gives his more than 100%. He added Virat Kohli knew how the pitch at the Narendra Modi stadium will behave. Sehwag was confident that Kohli willl try his best and will score a lot of runs to win the World Cup for India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sehwag said everybody was looking forward to the India Vs Pakistan match in Ahemdabad on 15th October. He said India were favourites to win the World Cup as they had the home advantage. He said India could handle pressure better, and this made India the stronger side in the contest. Sehwag added that Pakistan had a burden that they had not won against India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sehwag hinted India, Pakistan, England and Australia will make to the semifinals. Virat Kohli said he was looking forward to playing in Mumbai. Kohli said it was great to play in front of the Mumbai crowd again and experience the same atmosphere. Kohli said Wankhade always reminds him of the 2011 World Cup Final in which India defeated Sri Lanka. He recolllected his fond memories and said he was very young at that time<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Off spinner Muttiah Muralitharan said he was disappointed that Sri Lanka was forced to play the World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe. Muralitharan said the reason was Sri Lanka had not played cricket to their potential in the last 4-5 years. He added Sri Lanka has good talent and they are well in Zimbabwe.
