The Hindi language may soon be introduced as a second language after English in American schools, as per the reports. A proposal has been submitted by the Asia Society and Indian American Impact to US President Joe Biden for implementing Hindi as a second language in American schools. Both organisations have been associated with the ruling Democratic Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The proposal further suggested that Hindi to be introduced in about 1000 schools and allocated Rs 816 crore fund for the same. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It has been reported that if the proposal suggested by more than 100 public representatives associated with the ruling Democratic Party\u2019s organization AS & IAI, get succeeded to convince the White House and American President, the Hindi language will soon find its way into the country\u2019s schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Biden would be approving this proposal as it was given said in his government\u2019s policies towards India and the presidential election due next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It has been believed that Hindi language studies may start in September next year and AS and IAI have assured help in arranging teachers and setting up courses on starting the teaching of Hindi language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will be an option to choose Hindi as a second language after English, starting from primary classes. Hindi has been the most spoken Indian language by more than nine lakh people out of about 4.5 million people of Indian origin living in America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per the reports, Hindi courses have been already running but only at the High school level in America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President of India Indian American Impact, Neil Makhija said that if children have not been taught Hindi at the primary level then it will be difficult for them to understand Hindi at the high level. The decision to implement the Hindi language will bring a positive impact on the students.
