Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar warned Ajit Pawar led rebels to stop using his photographs without his permission. He claimed that those who have betrayed the party have no rights to use his photographs. Sharad Pawar\u2019s warning follows two days after his nephew Ajit Pawar joined the Eknath Shinde led Maharashtra government and took oath as the deputy chief minister. The NCP split has led to a political crisis in the state, ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With this the state has witnessed splits in two regional parties, namely Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party in a year. Meanwhile, Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar are all set to go against each other for the control of the party. Both leaders summoned for a meeting of NCP MPs, MLAs and other cadres on 5 July at two different locations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amid all the political crisis in the state, Ajit Pawar inaugurated the new party office near Mantralaya in Mumbai. The event drew sharp criticism from the leaders who are close to NCP chief Sharad Pawar. Nationalist Congress Party leader Clyde Crasto slammed the rebels and stated that as per the constitution of the party, Ajit Pawar led rebels cannot inaugurate a new party office. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Clyde Crasto added that Praful Patel and Ajit Pawar are mature politicians and they know the rules and regulations well. He further remarks that they have nothing to say if Ajit Pawar and Praful Patel do this after being aware of the rules and regulations. Furthermore, the NCP leader narrated that according to the Constitution, as per 10th Schedule, as per Anti-defection law, as per the NCP\u2019s constitution, the rebels cannot do any of this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to reports, the NCP crisis is likely to reach the courts and Sharad Pawar is taking legal advice on the matter. Clyde Crasto asserted that taking a legal opinion is necessary as the issue concerns Schedule 10 of the constitution.
