Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar in the show of strength meeting convened at Mumbai\u2019s YB Chavan Centre said nephew Ajit Pawar could have spoken about his problems with him before taking the decision. Pawar Sr also took a dig Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s corruption charge against NCP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sharad Pawar said the ones who defected, for them he and the party workers had worked hard to make the rebels way to the assembly as an MLA and some were made MPs too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pawar Sr called his faction meeting to be historic and said Ajit Pawar before taking any of the decision could at least share his problems with him or could have at least discussed about his discontentment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 83-year-old NCP chief also taking a jibe at the meeting convened by Ajit Pawar said among all the leaders picture in the banner of the meeting, the biggest picture was of him, which expresses they knew who holds the credibility among the people and are well aware of his value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ajit Pawar had also convened a meeting for his faction\u2019s show of strength earlier in the morning today in Bandra. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking on the Ajit Pawar faction claiming stake on the NCP name and symbol, the senior Pawar said he is not going to let that happen. Ajit Pawar faction has already reached out to the Election Commission claiming NCP symbol and the party\u2019s name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sharad Pawar also attacked Prime Minister Modi over his remark against the NCP in a rally in Bhopal alleging Rs 70,000 crore corruption. Pawar said a person being in such a position should refrain from making any such statement in public and should maintain the decency a Prime Minister must follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
