Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met farmers and helped them transplant paddy during an impromptu stop at Sonepat\u2019s Madina village, on the way to Shimla from Delhi on Saturday morning. The former Congress MP also drove a tractor and interacted with the farmers amid the drizzling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sanjay Kumar, a farmer from Madina village, which falls under Sonepat\u2019s Baroda constituency, said he was surprised to see the cavalcade suddenly stop near his fields and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi emerging out of the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sanjay said initially labourers and women, who were transplanting paddy could not identify Rahul Gandhi. When he along with his staff came into the fields the farmers were very happy. The farmers served him breakfast and he also drove a tractor. He asked the farmers what problems they were facing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
