Jammu-Srinagar national highway connecting T3 and T5 has been washed away by heavy rainfall on Saturday. According to reports, the Jammu Srinagar national highway is currently inaccessible at Mehar, Cafeteria Morh, T1, T2 (Keela Mord & Sita Ram pass) and Panthyal owing to roadblocks. Furthermore, incessant rains have caused damage to a section of road that leads to T5 Panthyal tunnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taking to Twitter, Mohit Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police stated that the road connecting T3 and T5, which bypasses Panthyal tunnel has been washed away. He added that the remaining portion of the road has also caved in and the national highway will remain closed for further clearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The video of the national highway crumbling and being washed away due to heavy rain has gone viral on social media platforms. The video shows a section of Jammu-Srinagar national highway caving in and being washed away by heavy rain. Many social media users questioned that if everything was put in place in August 2019, then why not the highway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
