The Kerala government has launched a social media bidding game called ‘Holiday Heist’ on WhatsApp, offering tour packages at low prices in an attempt to boost tourism in the state. Earlier, the state government planned to popularise several locations in Kerala that were featured in hit movies in order to strengthen Kerala\u2019s tourism sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to reports, the Kerala government has come out with an innovative step to attract tourists from across the globe through a bidding game that gives people a chance to gain vacation packages at low prices. The social media bidding game is named ‘Holiday Heist’. It offers tour packages at extremely low prices. Furthermore, according to the Kerala Tourism Department statement issued on Sunday, if one has a knack for bidding right in a crazy and creative manner then they will get to enjoy a vacation in God’s own country at incredibly low prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement noted that powered by WhatsApp, this unique social media game offers a thrilling bidding experience where the winners can effectively steal tour packages showcasing Kerala’s globally acclaimed captivating destinations. The game focuses around the concept of lowest unique bidding where the participants will compete to secure tour packages with their lowest bids in a most unique manner. The statement added that the tourism sector has unleashed Holiday Heist as an innovative tool to redefine tour package promotions, inspiring strategic thinking, creativity, and a spirit of adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commenting about the initiative, Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas said that it is not just about bidding high, it’s about bidding uniquely low to steal a package. He further added that the exclusive WhatsApp campaign by Kerala Tourism marks a historic milestone for tourism departments in the country. The statement revealed Maya, Kerala Tourism\u2019s official WhatsApp chatbot (7510512345), as the platform to participate in the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The chatbot which was introduced in March 2022, boasts more than 1.5 lakh contacts and over three lakh active conversations, according to the statement. Reportedly, Maya will unveil new tour packages every day for 30 days as a part of the game and social media users will have to bid wisely to win, with fresh chances to triumph each day of a month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
