Hardik Pandya once again served as the Men in Blue’s interim captain as the Indian team management stuck to its plan to rest captain Rohit Sharma and senior batsman Virat Kohli for the third and final ODI of the three-match series, which served as the series’ decider with the series tied at 1-1. With Hardik in charge, the side had lost the second ODI, but this time, he was leading from the front with the bat, a department that had failed miserably in the previous encounter in Trinidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, speaking at the post-game presentation ceremony, India’s interim captain Hardik Pandya voiced his displeasure with the arrangements made by the West Indies cricket board. He agreed that one of the best locations was the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad, but he had hoped for better in terms of travel plans and other basic necessities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pandya said, they have played on some nicer fields than this one. The next time they visit the West Indies, things might be better. He said, from travelling to handling many different things, there was a lot of problems. Pandya also addressed, there were some problems last year as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said, it’s time for West Indies Cricket Board to pay attention to this and ensure that when a team travels, basic essentials are provided. He said, they don’t demand luxury but they was basic requiremnets to be fulfilled. Other than that, it was great to be here and play some decent cricket, Hardik said following Tuesday’s game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, the Indian team reportedly advised the BCCI to steer clear of night flights after their trip from Trinidad to Barbados, which was supposed to take off at 11 p.m., instead took off at 3 a.m. and didn’t land until 5 a.m. This happened before the first ODI in the series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
