A man from Rajasthan\u2019s Jodhpur has married a Pakistani woman virtually. According to reports, the couple decided to marry virtually as the woman who hails from Karachi, Pakistan failed to get the Indian visa on time due to some issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All the rituals of marriage were performed virtually and a Qazi solemnised the marriage and the bride present in Karachi said Qabool Hai. Arbaaz, the younger son of contractor Mohammad Afzal, who lives in Jodhpur, got married to a Pakistani woman, Ameena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ceremony was done online on Wednesday. In this unique wedding, the family members of Arbaaz and Ameena performed online rituals. Both families were connected through video conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Qazis from both India and Pakistan officiated the Nikah, and family members and relatives from both sides participated in the special event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Jodhpur, they displayed the entire wedding on LED screens for the groom’s relatives to witness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the marriage, Arbaaz stated that they would soon apply for a visa for the newly-wed bride’s entry into India. Their relatives are in Pakistan. This is an arranged marriage through relatives. We were compelled to conduct it online due to the strained relations between the two countries at present. It will take a considerable amount of time to obtain a visa. That’s why we decided to conduct it virtually, Arbaaz said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arbaaz further explained that if he and his fiance were to get married in Pakistan, their marriage would not be legally recognized in India. This means that they would have to return to Pakistan for the official wedding. To avoid this, they plan to apply for an Indian Nikahnama visa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arbaaz’s father was also excited for his son’s fiance to arrive and the family plans to welcome her warmly. Afzal believes that online marriages are a great option for ordinary families. They reduce expenses while still fulfilling the customs associated with matrimony. He also noted that the bride’s family is simple and the marriage did not cost a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arbaaz disclosed that his marriage was arranged by his family and the bride’s family. Interestingly, one of Arbaaz’s relatives is married to another woman from Ameena’s family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
