He was 51. On X, formerly known as Twitter, fellow co-founder Ashish Shah confirmed the information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shah described Murty as a friend, mentor, brother, and soulmate in a heartfelt note in which he also expressed his disbelief and sorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sharing the news on X, he said, he is extremely devastated to inform that his friend, mentor, brother, and soulmate Ambareesh Murty is no more. Ashish said, lost him yesterday night due to a cardiac arrest at Leh. Through a distinctive combination of an online virtual catalogue, an internal supply chain, and a vast omnichannel presence across over 100 Indian locations, Pepperfry has disrupted traditional retail standards over the past ten years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambareesh started his career in sales and marketing at Cadbury, then worked as the vice president of marketing and customer service at Prudential ICICI AMC which is now known as ICICI Prudential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key leadership positions in Ambareesh&#8217;s distinguished career included those of Country Manager for eBay in India, the Philippines, and Malaysia, where his strategic thinking and customer-focused outlook accelerated eBay&#8217;s growth trajectory. In addition, he served as the Internet &amp; Mobile Association of India&#8217;s (IAMAI) Vice Chairman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to this, he oversaw the company&#8217;s retail, marketing, and product development activities as the brand head of Levi Strauss India.
