According to Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, the local authorities in Haryana’s Nuh district and the organizers of a Hindu religious procession failed to accurately assess the situation. This led to clashes that resulted in six deaths and brought violence close to the capital. Chautala stated that an investigation is underway to look into the administrative lapses that occurred before the clashes.

Chautala, who had previously criticized the organizers of the Brij Mandal Yatra for not providing an accurate estimate of the event attendees, emphasized that the government will take action against those found responsible. He also denied allegations of any communal bias. Chautala highlighted that both the administration and the organizers failed to properly evaluate the entire situation.

During a press conference, Chautala mentioned that the superintendent of police (SP) in Nuh was on leave since July 22, and the SP with additional responsibilities could not effectively assess the situation. The officials who approved the yatra also lacked proper assessment. Chautala reiterated that the deployment of police personnel along the yatra route was not adequate.
