Several Bharatiya Janata Party MPs protested in the Lok Sabha after Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fugitive economic offender Nirav Modi and Dhritarashtra during the no-confidence motion debate. The BJP MP\u2019s demanded an apology from the Congress leader over his remarks. Following, the speaker expunged Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury\u2019s remark after massive protest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Congress leader also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should have held Mann ki Baat with the people of Manipur. Comparing him to Nirav Modi and Dhritarashtra, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury asserted that when the prime minister spoke about the crisis-hit state Manipur, he added other states too. He added that Manipur is a big issue and that it cannot be confined. He continued that Manipur has become a global topic of discussion.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Thursday also responded to Union home minister Amit Shah over his Quit India call in Lok Sabha on Wednesday. He claimed that Quit India must happen, Quit India from communalisation, Quit India from polarisation, Quit India from saffronisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Congress leader also referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled address in the house stating that the power of no-confidence motion has brought the Prime Minister in the Parliament today. He asserted that none of them were thinking about this no-confidence motion. They were only demanding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should come to the Parliament and speak on the Manipur issue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi remarked that baseless allegations against the Prime Minister cannot be accepted. He added that this should be expunged and that the Congress leader should apologise. Soon after the Congress leader\u2019s speech, Jyotiraditya Scindia began speaking against the no-confidence motion when the opposition leaders walked out. Speaking on this, Jyotiraditya Scindia claimed that the country has shown the opposition the door, so they are leaving the Lok Sabha too.
