Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday won the trust vote in the Lok Sabha and eventually the opposition\u2019s no-confidence motion was defeated by a voice vote after the opposition staged a walkout. The Prime Minister spoke today in the Lok Sabha as the opposition demanded for his statement on Manipur violence. During his speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the no confidence motion auspicious for BJP.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reacting to the opposition\u2019s no-confidence motion defeat, Bharatiya Janata party\u2019s Nishikant Dubey claimed that the Congress\u2019s palm is stained in blood and that the party is the murdered of democracy and the public.\u00a0 In the last two days, the Lok Sabha witnessed fiery discussion by leaders from the government and the opposition mostly regarding the ethnic clashes in the northeastern state of Manipur.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier in his speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a scathing attack to the opposition questioned what kind of discussion has the opposition done on this motion. He added that Congress loved to tarnish India\u2019s image and then amplify it in the country. He continued that the Sonia Gandhi led party doesn’t believe in India\u2019s people and their capabilities. He further remarked that the level of no-confidence among people towards the Congress is high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was evident that the BJP-led NDA government will hardly get affected by the process. As per reports, the BJP led NDA government has 331 members in the Lower House, with 303 members from BJP, significantly far beyond the majority mark of 272. On the other hand, INDIA bloc has 144 MPs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
