In a tragic incident, a minor boy was killed in an accident in Maharashtra\u2019s Pune on Tuesday after a speeding car rammed into a scooter that a minor boy along with his mother was travelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police, the incident was so massive that caused severe injuries to the mother and dragged the 7-year-old boy to a distance of around 800 meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A CCTV video of the incident has emerged that showcases how forceful this incident was and the car suddenly stopped. People around the incident spot rushed toward the car to help the boy and his mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The accused has been identified as Rahul Tapkir. According to police, the accused Rahul Tapkir was drunk at the time of the accident. Police said Tapkir hit the scooter on which the boy and his mother were travelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Immediately, both the minor boy and his mother were rushed to the hospital for treatment but unfortunately, the 7-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries while his mother survived serious injuries and has been under doctor vigilance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rahul Tapkir (40), has been detained by the police as he is the prime suspect in this horrific case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a senior police officer the woman and her child were struck from behind by the car at Pune’s Charoli Phata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further said that the force of the impact caused the child to go under the vehicle, resulting in the dragging incident. The police are currently investigating the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A similar case took place in April this year where a 7-year-old boy was crushed to death under a speeding luxury car. The luxury car was overspeeding and crashed into the boy, causing him to come under the wheels, which resulted in his death. The incident occurred when the boy was near Chavan Hospital in the Nehru Nagar area of Pimpri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The owner of the luxury car has been identified as Anil Balkishan Bangadia who is a businessman. Many locals have raised concerns about over-speeding and reckless driving in the area, urging authorities to take strict measures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
