The Congress on Wednesday hit at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the renaming of Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) in Delhi as the Prime Ministers’ Museum and Library (PMML).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The museum was renamed with effect from 14th<\/sup> August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Congress General Secretary in-charge Communications Jairam Ramesh said from today an iconic institution has been renamed. He said the world renowned NMML becomes PMML.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Targeting PM Modi, he said the Prime Minister holds a huge bundle of fear, complexes and insecurities when it comes to the first and longest serving Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ramesh added PM Modi has had the core agenda of denying, demeaning, destroying and distorting Nehru and his legacy. He said Modi instead of N has put P that stands for pettiness and peeve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Responding to Ramesh\u2019s remarks, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said there is a basic difference between how the Congress thinks and PM Modi thinks. He said as per the Congress only Nehru and his family matters. But PM Modi gave a respectful space to all the former Prime Ministers at the Museum<\/p>\n\n\n\n He asked on why former PM\u2019s Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Morarji Desai, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and others did not get a space in the museum earlier as all PMs are getting a position there it is becoming Pradhanmantri Smriti Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
