A person has been identified as Anurag Singh, a resident of Goregaon who works as an executive in a bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A bank executive and his friend Amin Khan on Monday filed a police complaint at Bandra police station stating that they went for dinner on Sunday at \u00a0Papa Pancho Da Dhaba where they were shocked to find a piece of rat meat in the chicken dish they had ordered. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The restaurant in their response has accused Singh and his friend of being drunk and trying to extort money from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MumbaiPolice?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@MumbaiPolice<\/a> Rat found in our gravy at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/papaPanchodadhaba?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#papaPanchodadhaba<\/a> near Pali naka Bandra West . However, they were released on bail later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"3\">According to reports, cooks Narayan Das and Sanjeev Kar, and manager Vivian Sequeira were booked under IPC sections for adulteration of food or drink intended for sale, an act endangering life or personal safety of others, and common intention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The food plate in which the rat piece was found has been sent to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for examination and the manager and cook were arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"6\">The manager Vivian Sequeira said in his statement that it is an old restaurant and no such incident had happened in the 22 years of its existence. He further alleged that the complainants were heavily drunk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"7\">The manager also stated that he was not at the restaurant when dinner was served. He headed home but returned to attend to the query. The two customers were heavily drunk and the server spotted them consuming alcohol which they objected to since restaurants do not serve alcohol, he added. The two intentionally complained to extort money from us. The food is checked and microwaved so such a thing never happens, said Sequeira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"8\">Devraj Gore, an advocate for the restaurant said that they (complainant) told the manager whether he would like to settle the matter and tried to extort money. Later they approached the police.
