The WHO chief has arrived in India to attend the WHO-global summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On his visit, PM Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) and said my good friend Tulsi Bhai is clearly well prepared for Navratri. He welcomed Tedros. PM Modi added Tedros always told him that Indian teachers are the reason for his success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tedros will inaugurate the event in the presence of Union Minister of Health, Mansukh Mandaviya, and Minister of Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>G20 health ministers, regional directors of WHO, and eminent invitees from the UN health body&#8217;s six regions will attend the event. The event is expected to be attended by scientists, traditional medicine practitioners, health workers, and civil society members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sessions will concentrate on research, evidence, and learning policy, data, and regulation, innovation and digital health, biodiversity, equity, and traditional healthcare knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The WHO is working with member countries in the region to improve pharma co-vigilance and research capacity, as well as establish benchmarks for training and practices in traditional medicine systems. These efforts aim to assess the efficacy of products, according to Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh, WHO Regional Director for South-East Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yoga and meditation sessions will be conducted by the ministry at the Convention Centre.
