Rivaba Jadeja, the BJP leader and Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Gujarat’s Jamnagar (north) constituency, found herself embroiled in a heated verbal exchange with fellow BJP members, including the city’s municipal mayor Bina Kothari and Lok Sabha MP Poonamben Madam. The dispute emerged when Rivaba Jadeja, who is also the wife of Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, claimed that MP Poonamben Madam made derogatory remarks towards her after she removed her shoes to pay her respects to fallen soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the Meri Mitti Mera Desh event on Independence Day, the MP initially paid her respects to the fallen soldiers while wearing her shoes. Later, she removed her shoes to perform the same gesture, a pattern that other leaders also followed, according to Rivaba’s account. Rivaba asserted that she overheard the MP’s comments, where she was labeled as over smart for taking off her shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rivaba clarified that, while standing, she heard the MP comparing her actions to those of the Prime Minister and the President, stating that they didn’t remove their shoes during similar programs.
