The movie played with nostalgia and eventually became very popular. Gadar 2 may have experienced a tiny decline in attendance, according to early estimates, but Sunny&#8217;s movie has nonetheless finally reached Rs 300 crore at the box office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gadar 2 reportedly made 19.50 crore gross on its eighth day in India, according to preliminary estimates. During the first week after its release, Gadar 2 brought in 284.63 crore. The movie has so far brought in 304.13 crore at home theatres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel play the main characters of Tara Singh and Sakeena in the blockbuster movie. The actor said, he remembered his initial reaction to seeing the audience&#8217;s adoration for Gadar 2. He also said, he spent the entire night crying and laughing once the movie came out. When his father spotted him, he was nearby. Sunny admitted to his father Dharmendra, he hadn&#8217;t taken any alcohol. I&#8217;m glad, what can I do? Main khush aa main ki kar, the actor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The film Gadar 2 is the follow-up to Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which hit theatres in 2001. Ameesha Patel played Sakeena, and Sunny portrayed Tara Singh, a truck driver, in the first movie. The story of the film&nbsp;place around 1947, the year that India was divided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gadar 2 follows Tara as he crosses the border in order to rescue his son, portrayed by Utkarsh, who is being held captive in Pakistan.
