The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert indicating the likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall ranging from 115.6 to 204.4 mm in isolated areas of Himachal Pradesh from August 22nd to 24th. According to the IMD, there is a forecast for heavy to very heavy rainfall in select districts, including Kangra, Chamba, Hamirpur, Mandi Bilaspur, Solan, Shimla, and Kullu today. Furthermore, the weather department predicts that numerous places across the hilly state will experience moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to ongoing landslides and continuous rainfall, educational institutions in the Kangra district’s Dharamshala will remain closed on August 23rd, as ordered by the Sub Division Magistrate of Dharamshala and as per reports. Similarly, in Shimla district, all educational institutions and Anganwadis will be shut on both August 23rd and 24th due to the rainy conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
