This development comes after Chandrayaan 3 created history after Vikram lander touched down on the moon surface on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) noted that the Ch-3 Rover ramped down the Lander and India took a walk on the moon. According to reports, the rover is about the size of a microwave oven and is designed to travel nearly 500 meters (1640 feet) on the lunar surface. India\u2019s first lunar mission, Chandrayaan 1 was first launched in 2008 and was operated for two years. The second mission was Chandrayaan 2, which was launched in 2019 but failed to land on the moon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reportedly, the Pragyan Rover is the first of its kind to be deployed on the Moon\u2019s south pole. The Pragyan Rover is equipped with several instruments, including a camera, a spectrometer, and a magnetometer. In addition, the rover will also conduct experiments to study the Moon\u2019s surface, including its composition, mineralogy and history.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As far as reports are concerned, the Pragyan Rover is likely to operate for one lunar day, which is about 14 earth days. The Pragyan Rover will be powered by solar panels and will communicate with the Chandrayaan 3 orbiter.
