In September 2023, banks in various states of the country will witness 16 days of holidays, including Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays. It is to be noted that bank holidays will vary from state to state. The Reserve Bank of India regulates most functions of banks and decides their schedules and holidays for the entire year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Reserve Bank of India guidelines, both public sector banks and private sector banks do not work on Sundays and on the second and fourth Saturdays of each months. The banks also remain closed on public holidays, including regional holidays decided by the state governments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the month of September, banks across the country will remain closed on national holidays like Shri Krishna Janmasthami on September 6 and 7, and Eid-e-Milad on September 8. Various bank customers are advised to plan the bank-related works accordingly to avoid any last minute hassle. Reportedly, internet banking services and ATMs will remain operational throughout the country on all days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 9, 2023: Second Saturday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 10, 2023: Sunday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 17, 2023: Varsiddhi Vinayak Vrata and Vinayaka Chaturthi<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 19, 2023: Ganesh Chaturthi<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 20, 2023: Ganesh Chaturthi (2nd day) and Nuakhai (Odisha)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 22, 2023: Shree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 23, 2023: Fourth Saturday and maharaja Hari Singh\u2019s birthday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 24, 2023: Sunday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 25, 2023: Birth anniversary of Shrimant Sankardeva<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 27, 2023: Milad-e-Sherif (BIrthday of Prophet Mohammad)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 28, 2023: Milad-e-Sherif (Birthday of Prophet Mohammad) or (Twelfth Death)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 29, 2023: Indrajatra and Friday after Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi (Jammu and Srinagar)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
