Many flights from Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport have reportedly been cancelled in advance of the G20 Summit in Delhi in September. The G20 Summit caused about 160 flights at Delhi Airport to be cancelled between September 8 and September 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
IGI Airport is operated by Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), which received requests to cancel 80 domestic flights from airlines for the G20 Summit event, which is planned to take place on September 9 and 10. Notably, the foreign flights won’t be impacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DIAL made it clear that a lack of available aircraft parking space was not the cause of the flight’s cancellation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We take enormous pride in India’s role as the host of the G20 Summit 2023, DIAL said in an official statement. There is no connection between recent news about airline disruptions and aircraft parking. The required parking is already available. Airlines may have decided to cancel flights in light of traffic constraints brought on by the G20 conference. We are dedicated to working closely with airlines to minimise any difficulty given to customers, even though we are aware that these cancellations may affect about 80 arrivals and 80 departures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prime Minister Narendra Modi requested the people of Delhi on Saturday to support the success of the next G20 Summit despite any inconveniences that may result from the participation of various international leaders here next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PM Modi said, he apologises in advance for the many inconveniences that will occur from September 5 to September 15. The prime minister added, these are our guests, traffic regulations will change, and you will be prevented from getting to various locations, but some things are important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
