China unveiled the 2023 edition of its standard map on Monday. In the new standard map, China has included Arunachal Pradesh, the Aksai Chin region, Taiwan and the disputed South China Sea, according to reports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notably, India has always underlined that Arunachal Pradesh has always been and will always be an integral part of the country. Reports stated that the 2023 edition of China\u2019s standard map was officially released on Monday and was launched on the website of the standard map service conducted by the Ministry of Natural Resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reports further claimed that the post noted that the map is compiled based on the drawing method of the national boundaries of China and various countries in the world. The map displayed by the Global Times portrayed Arunachal Pradesh, which China claims as South Tibet, and Aksai Chin, occupied by it in the 1962 war, as part of China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the map also includes Chinese territory, the island of Taiwan and a large part of the South China Sea, both of which China has laid claim to. Reportedly, China claims Taiwan as part of its mainland and its integration with the mainland is part of a vowed objective of Chinese President Xi Jinping. As far as reports are concerned, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan have counterclaims over the South China Sea areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per reports, the map was released by China’s Ministry of Natural Resources during the celebration of Surveying and Mapping Publicity Day and the National Mapping Awareness Publicity Week on Monday in Deqing county, Zhejiang province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
