Around 68.16 lakh commuters travelled in Delhi Metro on Monday, August 28. According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), this is the highest count of daily commuters during the timespan before and after the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per the officials concerned to the matter, the previous highest recorded count of passengers travelled in one day was lodged at 66,18,717 on February 10, 2020. Officials further noted that the ridership surges on Raksha Bandhan, but this year it happened a few days earlier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Issuing a statement, the DMRC hailed that it has achieved a historic milestone by registering an unprecedented 68.16 lakh passenger journeys on Monday. It added that this phenomenon marked the highest ever daily passenger journeys recorded before or after the onset of COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
