Two alleged members of a pro-Khalistan group from Punjab have been arrested by Delhi police’s special cell in relation to pro-Khalistan graffiti and slogans painted at over five metro stations in Delhi on August 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A case was reported and teams were being organized to find and detain the suspect. The graffiti displayed slogans that supported Khalistan and accused PM Modi and India of genocide against Sikhs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Delhi Police on Sunday said that the SFI had released raw footage of Delhi Metro Stations where slogans like Delhi Banega Khalistan and Khalistan Zindabad were written on its wall. SFJ activists were present in multiple metro stations in Delhi from Shivaji Park to Punjabi Bagh with Pro-Khalistan slogans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The slogans on the walls of the metro stations had surfaced online. Legal action is being taken, police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A case was registered under section 153 A, section 505 and the Defacement Act, said Ram Gopal Naik, DCP Metro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A senior Delhi Metro Rail Corporation official had also expressed his concern and indicated a law and order situation. He further said to cooperate with the Delhi Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Delhi Police shared the pictures in which slogans were seen inscribed on the walls of Metro stations, reading Delhi Banega Khalistan and Khalistan Zindabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police officer said Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) also released raw footage of Delhi Metro stations which were defaced with pro-Khalistan slogans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suspected SFJ activists defaced multiple Metro stations in Delhi from Shivaji Park to Punjabi Bagh with pro-Khalistan slogans, the officer added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier this year, graffiti with identical slogans was discovered inscribed on the walls of a Session Judge’s residence located in Faridkot, a district of Punjab. A video was brought to the attention of Superintendent of Police Avneet Kaur Sidhu that pertained to the incident and was released by the general counsel of SFJ, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
