On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan holiday, the movie demonstrated a notable growth of approximately 71 percent in its earnings on Wednesday, garnering around Rs 8.75 crore according to preliminary data. Following its 20 days since release, the film’s cumulative earnings have reached Rs 474.5 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having commenced its run with an opening collection of Rs 40 crore on August 11, Gadar 2 achieved a remarkable feat by amassing Rs 284 crore in its inaugural week. This resulted it to become the top-grossing Indian film of the year, second only to Pathaan. The second week brought in an additional Rs 134 crore, positioning the film on the brink of crossing the coveted Rs 500 crore mark within a short span.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gadar 2 serves as a sequel to the original hit released in 2001. Sunny Deol portrayed the character of Tara Singh, a truck driver, while Ameesha Patel depicted his love interest, Sakina. The story unfolds against the backdrop of India’s partition in 1947. In this sequel, the narrative follows Tara Singh’s bold cross-border mission to rescue his son, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma, who has been captured in Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
