A youth was shot dead at the residence of Union Minister Kaushal Kishore in Uttar Pradesh\u2019s Lucknow on Friday. A licensed revolver under the name of the minister\u2019s son, Vikas Kishore, has been recovered from the crime spot, said police on Friday. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Vinay Srivastava. He was shot dead early morning at the BJP MP\u2019s residence Begaria village area under Thakurganj police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dog squad, crime branch and forensic teams reached the crime spot for an investigation, said DCP West, Lucknow, Rahul Raj.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police officer said a person named Vinay Shrivastave was shot dead. A pistol has been recovered which belongs to Vikas Kishore. Further investigation is underway. A forensic team has also arrived and police are also searching CCTV visuals. An FIR has also been registered in this case, Rahul Raj said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Union Minister Kaushal Kishore said the culprit will not be spared and assured all the support to the victim\u2019s family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is a matter of investigation. Forensic teams and police have started the investigation. The person involved will not be spared. We are standing in support of the family members of the deceased. I have no idea who was at the residence when the incident took place, the minister said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police have taken three suspects into custody after the victim’s family filed a complaint, as per reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the loss of his son to alcoholism, the minister of state for housing and urban affairs launched a campaign to save young people from the same fate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a de-addiction program in the Lambhua assembly constituency last year, he addressed the tragedy and implored people to avoid marrying their daughters and sisters to alcoholics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The BJP MP said his son Akash Kishore was an alcoholic, he was admitted to a de-addiction centre hoping to quit this bad habit. After quitting alcohol for few months, he started drinking again after marriage which led to his death.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
