Zimbabwe\u2019s Former captain Heath Streak died at the age of 49 after a long battle with colon and liver cancer. The news of Streak\u2019s passing was shared by his wife Nadine Streak through a facebook post. She wrote. In the early hours of this morning, Sunday the third of September 2023, the greatest love of her life and father of her beautiful children, was carried to carried to be with the angels from his home where he had wished to spend his last days surrounded by his loved ones. He was covered in love and peace. She said her soul was joined with eternity with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per reports Heath Streak was facing a battle with cancer and his treatment was undergoing. South Africa\u2019s most esteemed oncologists were guiding his treatment. Just two weeks ago there was a false report of Streak\u2019s passing, which was later corrected. Streak\u2019s former teammate Henry Olonga issued an apology who had shared the unverified news on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Streak was a cricketing legend was particularly known for his prowess as  a fast bowler. He had total 216 test wickets at an average of 28.14. He also scored 1990 runs at an average of 22.35 in Test matches. In One Day internationals (ODI)\u2019s streak took total 239 wickets at an average of 29.82. He also scored 2943 runs at 28.29 runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
