According to Hindu calendar, Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu, was born on the eighth day of the month of Bhadra. As per the Western calendar, the auspicious day falls in the months of August or September. Lord Krishna is considered as the embodiment of playfulness and innocence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Celebrating the occasion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended his greeting. Wishing happy Shri Krishna Janmastami to the people and devotees of the state, he prayed that may Lord Krishna bless the entire creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The auspicious festival of Janmastami is celebrated across the country by offering prayers to Lord Krishna with beautifully decorated swings, dance and music performance along with Dahi-Handi competition. Meanwhile, multiple lord krishna temples are decked up to celebrate the occasion with religious fervour, pomp and fanfare.
