Death toll has reached 19 persons in the last 24 hours due to heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh. Normal life was disrupted and schools were shut due to water logging. Roof collapsed, cases of deaths and drowning due to lightning were reported in parts of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several parts, including Barabanki and Lucknow are facing waterlogging problems as a result of which the daily commuters are experiencing inconvenience in travelling. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall in many parts of the country till September 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IMD said heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolate places over Odisha ; heavy rainfall at isolated places over Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Vidarbha, East Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. IMD added thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds are very likely in Mahe, Kerala, Karaikal, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, North interior Karnataka, Yanam, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal, Chattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
