Rajasthan Police will question suspected cow vigilante and murder accused Monu Manesar in relation to the murder of two muslim men from the state, officials affirmed on Wednesday. The charred bodies of the two muslim men were recovered in Haryana\u2019s Bhiwani district in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Monu Manesar was nabbed by Rajasthan Police on Tuesday. However, the Haryana Police did not confirm that the Bajrang Dal leader had been detained. An office bearer of the outfit\u2019s parent organisation, the Vishva Hindu Parishad asserted that he was picked up in Gurugram\u2019s Manesar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The murder accused was handed over to Rajasthan Police after it obtained transit remans from a court in Nuh. The accused was then brought to Bharatpur and produced in a local court, which consequently sent him to two-day police remand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay, Superintendent of Police (Deeg) on Wednesday noted that the court sent Monu Manesar to two days in police remand. He added that the police are interrogating him in connection with the murder of Junaid and Nasir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In February, Monu Manesar was named in a First Information Report registered by the Rajasthan Police after two men, Nasir, 25-year-old and Junaid, 35-year-old were found dead in a burnt car in Loharu in Haryana’s Bhiwani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The men are the residents of Ghatmika village in Rajasthan’s Deeg, formerly Bharatpur district. Allegedly, they were abducted by suspected cow vigilantes who then crossed the border into Haryana. The Rajasthan Police noted last month that Monu Manesar’s role in hatching a conspiracy and abetting the crime was under active investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apart from being accused in the murder of two muslim men, Monu Manesar was also blamed by some for triggering the July violence in Nuh, in which a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession was targeted by mobs, leading to the deaths of six people in that district and neighbouring Gurugram.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
