Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to have dinner with members of the Delhi Police this week in an effort to ensure that the services of everyone who helped to make the G20 Summit a success are honoured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to sources within the force, Sanjay Arora, the commissioner of the Delhi Police, has requested a list of personnel from each district, ranging from constables to inspectors, who performed exceptionally well during the summit last weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is expected to have 450 Police personnel along with Sanjay Arora are scheduled to dine with the Prime Minister at the G20 Summit’s venue, Bharat Mandapam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is not the first time that PM Modi will be thanking those who contributed to a significant accomplishment. He had honoured the construction workers in May, in advance of the opening of the new Parliament Building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sanjay Arora also gave certain Delhi Police officers the Commissioner of Police’s Special Commendation disc and certificate earlier this week in recognition of their assistance with the G20 Summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The announcement was issued in an order dated September 11 which read, the smooth, professional, and precise execution of the enormous G20 arrangement, which saw participation, commitment, and contribution from the entire rank and file of Delhi Police, was only made possible by the shared sense of pride and ownership in the overall objectives of the mega arrangement by those who participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both before and during the summit, which witnessed the greatest meeting of world leaders in the nation in recent times, the Delhi Police had a challenging assignment on their hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Special Protection Group and Delhi Police personnel also employed code phrases for the hotels where the leaders and their delegations were staying to maintain the utmost levels of security and secrecy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While US President Joe Biden was staying at the ITC Maurya Sheraton, code-named Pandora, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murthy, were residing at the Shangri-La, code-named Samara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, locations that the leaders would visit were given code words. The summit was held at Pragati Maidan, whose code name was Niketan, while Rajghat was referred to as Rudpur.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
