This came in response when a 14 year old girl died on Monday due to food poisoning after she ate a chicken shawarma in Tamil Nadu\u2019s Namakkal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Kalaiyarasi&#8217;s father had brought several non vegetarian items from a restaurant. The girl and her family ate chicken shawarma. Kalaiyarasi experienced severe uneasiness the next day. She was taken to a private hospital. As the day was Sunday there were no doctors at the hospital. The schoolgirl was found dead on Monday. Tamil Nadu\u2019s Health and welfare minister Ma Subramaniam took immediate action on the incident. The food safety officer of Madurai district said they had carried out raids on 90 shawarma joints and confiscated 70kg of chicken. The sick students were undergoing treatment. Three men have been detained during the raids. The food safety team also traced where the chicken was procured from. According to reports those who got food poisoning and fell ill after eating shawarma, Tandoori chicken or grilled chicken. 43 total  people have been hospitalized after eating shawarma and other food items from the eatery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Namakkal district Collector S Uma said the students who ate the food complained of vomiting, dizziness, and diarhoea. They were admitted Government Medical College Hospital. During the raids the authorities destroyed marinated chicken and raw materials.
