The Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force (STF) gunned down one suspect and arrested two others in connection with the August 30 attack on woman police constable. According to a senior STF official the deceased person has been identified as Anish. The two persons arrested received injuries in police firing were identified as Vishwambhar Dayal and Azad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Special director General of police (law and order) Prashant Kumar said they had received information from field officers, Anish who was the main suspect involved in the attack on a women constable on Saryu Express was injured in an encounter with the police in Pura Kalandar, Ayodhya. He later succumbed to his injuries. Two other suspects Vishambar Dayal Dubey and Azad were arrested by the police in Ayodhya district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to senior police officials the woman head constable was posted in Sultanpur. She was going to Ayodhya for her Sawan Mela duty. An argument took place between her and the accused over seats on a train. The accused attacked her with a sharp weapon. Due to the sudden attack she suffered injuries to her face. She also got two fractures in her skull.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was found unconscious inside the train compartment of Saryu Express at Ayodhya Cannt railway station on August 30. According to the police the constable is getting her treatment at Lucknow\u2019s King George Medical University. According to the STF officials, the accussed were stalking and misbehaving with the lady cop as she was alone in the train compartment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police said the lady constable confronted them. She overpowered one of them. The three accused attacked her and then fled from the scene of the crime by jumping off the train. The three accused got down near Ayodhya Cantt Railway station. The Allahabad High Court had ordered the police officials to take the attack on the lady constable seriously.
