In October 2023, banks in various states of the country will witness 18 days of holidays, including Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays. It is to be noted that bank holidays will vary from state to state. The Reserve Bank of India regulates the functions of banks and decides their schedules and holidays for the entire year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per the Reserve Bank of India guidelines, both public sector banks and private sector banks do not work on Sundays and on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. The banks also remain closed on public holidays, including regional holidays which are decided by the state governments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
