Google created an animated doodle on Thursday to mark the start of the ICC World Cup 2023, which will get underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad at 2:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two ducks are shown in the doodle running between the wickets while spectators watch in the background. The user will be sent to the complete tournament schedule after clicking on the doodle on the Google homepage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The World Cup, which comes every four years, is one of the most highly esteemed, watched, and beloved one-day international (ODI) cricket matches in the world. Ten teams participate in the competition to win the coveted cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year, India will play home to the 13th iteration of the quadrennial championship since it first began in 1975. The defending champions England and New Zealand will play in the opening match of the World Cup today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the group stage, 45 games will be contested, with each side scheduled to play every other team once. The countries taking part this year are Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. The knockout stage, which includes two semi-final contests and one cup final in Ahmedabad, will only include four clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The match-hosting cities, including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Dharamsala, and Pune, have all increased security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Narendra Modi stadium in Motera and other areas of Ahmedabad will have over 3,500 police officers on duty when the ICC Cricket World Cup begins on October 5. Sector 1 Joint Commissioner of Police Chirag Koradia stated on Wednesday that multiple layers of protection are being implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
