Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Thursday questioned why the Enforcement Directorate did not visit homes of officials in Madhya Pradesh where so many scams took place. She added that in the last 18 years, there have been more than 250 scams in the BJP ruled state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing a rally at poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, the Congress leader asserted that there has been scams in mid-day meal scheme, recruitment, student admission and scholarship. She noted that ED and other nodal agencies visit everywhere but they did not visit the homes of officials and leaders in Madhya Pradesh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Priyanka Gandhi further questioned why a proper investigation was not carried out regarding the Vyapam scam that happened in Madhya Pradesh. The entrance examination, admission and recruitment scam reportedly involved politicians, senior and junior officials and businessmen. She further asked the gathering to question why ED did not come to the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Launching a scathing attack on the BJP ruled government, Priyanka Gandhi underlined that the Narendra Modi led government says that there is no money to give old pensions, but if there is no money then how are loans worth thousands of crores of industrialists being waived off. Asking the voters to make their decision based on truth, she questioned how much inflation has increased in the last 18 years and how many jobs did the people get. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking on the Women\u2019s Reservation Bill, Priyanka Gandhi underscored that they supported the bill but later it came to light that it would not be implemented for 10 years. She added that not implementing reservations in the legislature for ten years is a joke played on women. She voiced that this is their rights and not a favour. Priyanka Gandhi continued that the Constitution talks about equal rights for every citizen, but whenever the issue of caste census arises, the ruling government remains silent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
