Two hospitals in Mumbai, HBT Hospital and Cooper Hospital, received the injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two of the seven fatalities from the fire were children. Twelve men and 28 women, including one minor, made up the 40 injured people. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia to the family members of those who lost their lives in the incident. The lift was old and the lift duct was heavily smoke-filled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the authorities, the fire was reported at the Jay Bhavani building on MG road in Goregaon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Around 6:54 am, after almost four hours, the fire was put out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A quick response vehicle, an ambulance, eight fire engines, five jumbo water tankers, three automatic turn tables, one turn table ladder, and five jumbo water tankers were dispatched to the scene.
