Israel has announced Operation Iron Swords against Hamas after declaring a state of war. The Israel Air Force has initiated an attack with dozens of fighter jets targeting the Palestinian militant outfit Hamas in the Gaza strip in multiple locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Saturday morning, Hamas launched 5000 rockets from Gaza in the biggest attack on Israel in years. Reports said that multiple armed militants from the group also infiltrated into Israel by crossing the border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Israel’s army spokesperson told media that the attack was a combined ground raid which happened through paragliders, through the sea and through the ground. The spokesperson asserted that right now they are fighting in certain locations across the Gaza strip and that their forces are now fighting on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Issuing a video statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mentioned that they are at war and they will win it. The Prime Minister added that their enemy will pay a price the type of which it has never known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, following a security cabinet meeting at the Israeli military headquarters in Tel Aviv, Israel\u2019s Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant remarked that Hamas had made a grave mistake by launching the attack. Gallant asserted that Palestinian militant group has started the war, adding that Israel will win it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per Israeli media, six people have been killed and nearly 200 people are injured in the country in the recent round of attack. It stated that almost two dozen of the injured are in critical condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile in India, authorities issued advisory for its nationals in Israel. The statement read that in view of the current situation in Israel, all Indian nationals are requested to remain vigilant and observe safety protocols as advised by the local authorities.
