The Prime Minister stated that he received a call from his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu who informed him about the ground situation in the Jewish country after the attack by militant group Hamas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to Benjamin Netanyahu for his phone call and providing an update on the ongoing situation. Narendra Modi added that the people of India stand firmly with Israel in this difficult hour. More than 5000 rockets pierced the sky towards Israel on Saturday morning. Nearly 16,000 people were killed in the war, as Israel saw gun battles in the streets of its own towns for the first time in decades and neighbourhoods in Gaza were reduced to rubbles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Israel\u2019s military stated that it has found the bodies of roughly 1500 Hamas militants in Israeli territory as it gained effective control in the south and restored full control over the border. Spokesperson Richard Hecht asserted that no Hamas fighters have crossed into Israel since last night, but infiltrations could still be possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier on Saturday, Prime minister Narendra Modi expressed distress over attacks in Israel from Gaza. He conveyed that he is deeply shocked by the news of a terrorist attack in Israel. He added that their thoughts and prayers are with the innocent victims and their families. He further conveyed that India stands in solidarity with Israel at this difficult time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, in an address to the nation, the Israeli Prime Minister stated that they didn\u2019t want this war but it was forced upon them in the most brutal and savage way.
